Om Mane Padme Hum

"Om Mani Padme Hum" is the mantra most often repeated by Tibetans, and now by many westerners as well. It has the power to bless the heart and mind of any who come into contact with it. It's special benefit is to uncover and foster the compassion innate in all beings. More information on the mantra's meaning here.

Mantras in Metal, Stephen P. Manuel (Vancouver, BC)

Canadian artisan Stephen P. Manuel creates beautiful and lasting artwork in metal and stone; primarily inspired by Tibetan Mantra. There are also pieces inspired by the Mayan & Aztec cultures.
Master Manuel spent 8 years as a Buddhist Monk before completing a metal work diploma at the Kootenay School Of The Arts.

A portion of all proceeds aids Tibetan refugees.

Ozomatli - Aztec God of Dance and Celebration

An incredible piece of urban art from the rather ugly area of Toronto (Canada) known as "St. Jamestown" created by 3 graffiti artists.
...the caption reads "Serve or Suffer".

Ancient Wyrm (Joseph Wu © 2002)

Ancient Wyrm

Creator/Folder: Joseph Wu
Date: November 26, 2002 (design)
Diagrams: This model is not diagrammed. In other words, instructions are not available.

Folded from five sheets of paper (head & upper neck; lower neck, chest, & fore legs; haunches & hind legs; tail; wings). This model is to scale, although it doesn't really qualify as a miniature. It corresponds to an ancient dragon, about 90 feet long.
